Suite Amazigh

For its fifth edition, the Menart fair leaves the Palais d'Iéna for 5 rue Saint-Merri, Paris, from 20 to 22 September 2024, with an edition devoted entirely to women artists.

For her second participation, Margaux Derhy is presented on the Suite Amazigh stand, led by Frédéric Morales, with a small solo show of embroidered drawings. She unveils Tendres Boutons, a new series of twenty works born of a single rediscovered family photograph, taken in Morocco in the 1950s: watercolours and inks on paper, heightened with the sewing machine.

The series is an intimate exploration of family memory, drawing from this single image a multitude of framings and details.
